From injuries on the slopes to damage of equipment - <strong>ski insurance<\/strong> can save you a lot of worries. In this article, I have prepared an overview of prices and insurance options for ski trips in Slovakia and abroad. Whether you are planning to ski in Austria, Italy, Poland or at home, you will find useful information here that will help you choose the ideal coverage for your needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ski insurance in Slovakia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Slovak ski resorts such as Jasn\u00e1, Donovaly or \u0160trbsk\u00e9 Pleso attract with beautiful nature and modern slopes. The most common risks include injury, loss of equipment or the need for intervention by the Mountain Rescue Service, which can be financially demanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The price of insurance for a week is around 11 Euros per person, depending on the specific insurance company.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ski insurance in Austria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Austria is a paradise for skiers, with locations like Schladming, Nassfeld, Kitzb\u00fchel, Ischgl and Zell am See offering great conditions on the slopes. However, the risks include injuries, high medical costs and equipment damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The price for skiing insurance in Austria <strong>is from 16 to 30 Euros per week per adult, depending on the insurance company chosen.<\/strong> pod\u013ea v\u00fdberu pois\u0165ovne.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ski insurance in Italy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Italian ski resorts like Cortina d\u2019Ampezzo, Livigno, and Val Gardena offer quality slopes and pleasant weather. Common risks include injuries, lost luggage, or damage to equipment during transportation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The price of ski insurance in Italy is the same as in Austria and ranges from <strong>16 to 30 Euros per week per adult.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important information for ski in Italy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Italy there is <strong>mandatory civil liability insurance<\/strong> for all skiers and snowboarders using the slopes. This obligation applies from 1 January 2022, based on Decree No. 40\/2021. The insurance must cover damages caused to third parties, such as injuries or damage to property. If you do not have valid insurance, you risk a fine of up to \u20ac150 and the loss of your ski pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The minimum requirements for the insurance:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Insurance must include liability for damages caused to others (personal injuries and property damage)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The amount of coverage is usually around 5 million EUR for personal and property damage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Don't neglect this obligation and don't look for insurance at the last minute! <a href=\"https:\/\/realitysivanou.sk\/en\/kontakt\/\">Contact me<\/a> and I will prepare everything for you in advance so you can ski in peace!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ski insurance in Poland<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Poland is known for locations like Zakopane and Bia\u0142ka Tatrza\u0144ska, which offer affordable skiing with quality slopes. Skiers here most often deal with injuries and loss of equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The price of insurance for a weekend ski trip in Poland ranges <strong>from 6 to 19 Euros per person for 3 days.<\/strong>For a week, prices range from 8 to 32 Euros per person.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Insurance for school ski trip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For children in ski training, group insurance is ideal, covering the entire class. If you want to insure a child individually, prices in Slovakia start <strong>at 4 Euros per week and can go up to 10 Euros<\/strong> depending on the child's age and the choice of insurance company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The insurance includes accident coverage, baggage, liability, <strong>Mountain Rescue intervention<\/strong> and other important services. Remember that lower prices may mean limited coverage, so seek expert advice when purchasing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ski insurance for ski trip in Europe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Skiing insurance abroad (European destinations) is valid <strong>only in territories outside Slovakia.<\/strong>It cannot be used after returning from abroad for skiing at home, as it does not provide coverage in such cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>When calculating prices, we took a couple of adults for a week as an example - prices range from 28 to 57 Euros per person.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The policies include standard coverage such as medical expenses insurance, liability, baggage, accident insurance, insurance against damage, destruction, theft, loss of travel document, travel and accommodation costs for a loved one, and assistance services. They differ only in the amount of coverage limit and the insurance company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A very <strong>important and critical service is the Mountain Rescue Intervention Insurance!<\/strong>Be careful here and insist on a clear statement of this service in the policy description. I personally give clients only the best offers that do not have any \"hidden or missing\" services and this coverage is included in the policies I recommend. Such insurance covers the standard costs of searching in a mountain area, rescue work and ground or air transport to the nearest medical service up to \u20ac20,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All-year insurance for abroad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are deciding to take out insurance for your next trip, but at the same time know that you may take several similar trips during the year, it may be ideal for you to take out a favorable annual insurance for abroad. With such a policy, you will be protected all year round and you will not have to worry about taking out insurance before each trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The prices of annual insurance abroad range <strong>from 84 to 160 Euros per person per year.<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Such insurance covers medical expenses, liability insurance, accident insurance, and baggage. It also includes common sports, including skiing, but also baggage delay and flight delay or cancellation insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do I get my ski insurance? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ski insurance is not just a formality, but a key protection for every skier. Whether you're heading to the slopes at home or abroad, investing in the right insurance can save you a lot of worry and money.
